Applying for Services
To register with OAS, you will need to have an intake appointment with the Associate Director of Accessibility Services. Please call 845-341-4642 to schedule an appointment.
At the time of the intake appointment, students must present appropriate medical or psychological documentation for the stated disability. Documentation may be uploaded in the application below or emailed to accessibilityservices@sunyorange.edu. Documentation may also be brought in person to Room 227, Shepard Student Center.
This information will be considered confidential and is to be shared within the institution on a need-to-know basis only. Disability records may be destroyed five years after the students last enrollment.
Documentation must be relevant and must establish a clear link between the disability and the need for specific accommodations, like calculator use, extended time for tests, etc. For students with a suspected learning disability, referrals can be made for off-campus diagnostic testing and evaluation at the student's cost.
