The Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) will not be proctoring exams in person until further notice. Remote learning for all in person classes means that exams will also need to be completed remotely. Make sure you are checking email, Blackboard and/or any course communication platforms regularly. Faculty is able to adjust remote exam time limits to reflect an extended time accommodation.
Students with documented disabilities can arrange to have a proctored test in the Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) as an accommodation. OAS offers test proctoring services to ensure the delivery of testing accommodations. In order to take an exam with OAS, a current accommodation notice must be on file in the OAS before the day of the exam.
To make a testing appointment use the online appointment form. You must know the following information before making a testing appointment:
- Your A number
- Your instructor's SUNY orange email address
Testing appointments should be made during class testing time unless there is a time conflict that is discussed with both OAS and your professor prior to the test date.
Evening Exams – Students with evening exams (after 4 pm) are advised to speak with their instructors about taking exams earlier in the day or make arrangements with their instructor to take exams.
Students must report to OAS at the scheduled exam date and time. Students arriving late will have that amount of time deducted from the exam time. If a student misses an exam, they must alert their professor and OAS and reschedule the exam upon the professor’s approval. Notify OAS if the professor changes the exam date and/or time and reschedule with OAS.
Students are not permitted to bring anything into the testing room except permitted testing material(s). There is No talking in the testing room. ANY unauthorized use of materials will be reported to your instructor.
